We have an Anchor!
9th Nov 2009

What an amazing revelation to discover we have an anchor (a weapon) that will keep our souls safe in the Saviours Love. How amazing is Jesus love for mankind?
Heb 6:19-20 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf.
Hope is the anchor of our soul! Without this Hope Anchor we will get very sick.
Prov 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
I watched a programme last night on the tallest people in the world on the Discovery channel. There was a lady who was well over 2meters tall, but she was dying, she had lost hope until another Giant man (officially the tallest man in the world) came to visit her from China and he spoke positive life giving words over her. He spoke health and a unique life into her as she was dying, but then something happened, she smiled in the first time in years. She received Hope. The visit was short because she was tired, but as soon as the man went away, 20days later she was released from hospital and went back home. She was still bed ridden but she had received from a friend she never knew she had - hope for soul. I am convinced this anchor gave her health & I pray a prosperous future. Hope is the Anchor for our souls.
So many things in the world are fragile and insecure and yet Christ has given us this free gift of an Anchor - Hope everlasting, which we can prayerfully take into deep prayer & intercession and not be harmed by the enemy because our hope is in Jesus the Rock & our Deliverer.
How amazing is this? What is that dark doubt I hear? "You cannot take on the forces of evil through prayer!" Oh yes we can beloved! Through the name, the blood and in the power of Jesus Christ living in us - we can take on the enemy victoriously!
That is why God’s promise to us is always "Yes & Amen!"
We have an anchor already! It is hidden in Christ, and found in the very depths of His Love. At the bottom of the oceans of Glory, deep In the rock is our anchor of HOPE, firm and secure.
Nothing can move us when we understand this revelation !! Nothing can stop us from pursuing destiny!! We are rooted in Glory!

Will Your Anchor Hold?
1887 Hymn. James Kirkpatrick (1838-1921).
Will your anchor hold in the storms of life, When the clouds unfold their wings of strife? When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain, Will your anchor drift, or firm remain? Chorus: We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll; Fastened to the rock which cannot move, Grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love. Will your anchor hold in the straits of fear, When the breakers roar and the reef is near? While the surges rage, and the wild winds blow, Shall the angry waves then your bark overflow? Chorus Will your anchor hold in the floods of death, When the waters cold chill your latest breath? On the rising tide you can never fail, While your anchor holds within the veil. Chorus Will your eyes behold through the morning light The city of gold and the harbour bright? Will you anchor safe by the heavenly shore, When life's storms are past for evermore?
Comfort & Hope
Christ longs to comfort us in the storms of life. He longs for us to pour out our hearts to Him, even in our time of distress and great trouble> It is when we need Him most that we must cry out to Him and He will comfort us from within Heaven’s veil.
The Dove of the Holy Spirit longs to rest on us and comfort us through the storms of life.
He longs for us to accept His power & comfort while we suffer.
2 Cor 1:3-7
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present age are not worthy to be compared with the glory to be revealed in us."
Romans 8:18

Why Does God Allow Suffering for Believers?
The Moral Effect … It changes us!

The Sovereignty Effect:

The Process of God (Romans 8:29)
The Love of God (Romans 8:38-39)

Our suffering is … momentary.
Our suffering is … light.
Our suffering is producing in us LIFE

Brief summary:
God in us is the God of all compassion & comfort.
God has called us to minister from His Place of comfort.
God permits suffering to happen in our lives because it is the Doorway (Portal) to having deep, intimate fellowship with the Comforter.
Comfort heals our Souls.
Comfort delivers us. Comfort stops temptations demonic power/ strongholds over a believers life.
Comfort comes from suffering with Christ.
Remember we are suffering with Him, we are not away from Him. This does not mean we are a rejected people, but Christ’s Beloved.

Christ’s comfort is eternal.
Christ’s comfort is not earned but freely given.

The ministry of the Comfort of the Holy Spirit is a beautiful & Sacred thing.
Suffering > Comfort >Comfort to others = Glory
Suffering & the Glory of God go together.

I see Comfort & Hope go together. Angels minister in pairs. The disciples went out two by two, so did the animals in the Ark. May God be glorified even if we have to suffer!
Let us yield to His parental Comfort. May His holiness abound in us and grant us fresh revelation through His Word - the greater mighty power of us who believe!
May we be stirred greater at this hour beloved. Stirred not by the storms of strife but by the Giver of Life! Let us receive His Word to us today in abundance!
May we accept the revelation of the unmovable, unshakable anchor --deliverance for our souls & Hope for the nations.
In Jesus name. Amen!
